Samuel Kent Baker Inc. has introduced a new, heavy-duty line of unscramblers. The machines feature sold plate steel construction enclosing each strand of chain and WR78 chain with an average ultimate strength of 24,000 pounds. Helical-type gearboxes are exclusively incorporated into each deck.

            The unique design creates a semi-break over the first deck, which helps the bundle of material to break apart. This flows smoothly into a 75-degree angle V trough, which helps in the singulation process. Flight bars -- instead of dogs -- ensure that no piece will go up the incline crookedly. The material then flows smoothly up and over a gentle curve. Customers may choose to add a conveyor at this point, another deck, or nothing; customer requirements are considered prior to final design.
