AMS Introduces Mold Treatment System

Date Posted: 5/3/2004

Automated Machine Systems Inc. (AMS) has introduced a new automated system to treat pallets for mold. It is designed to inhibit mold growth on pallet inventory.

Stacks of 20 pallets are delivered to the spray booth by chain driven live roller conveyor. The system will spray mold inhibitor on one stack per minute, and the treated pallets exit on a gravity discharge conveyor. With easy load and unload capability and optional blow-off section, the AMS automated mold treatment system can help companies inhibit mold from occurring on pallets in stock.

The system is equipped with a 150-gallon application tank and a 125-gallon reclaim tank to provide a consistent flow of inhibitor while minimizing waste and loss. Fluid actuated pumps provide a precise mixture of chemicals to the spray, which saves in material costs.

AMS is a full design and supply integrator of automation and computerization for the pallet and material handling industries.
