Wood-Mizer Team Helps HOPE Ranch Employees, Families Aid Christian Outreach Facility for Teens By Staff Date Posted: 11/8/2004 A team of employees from Wood-Mizer Products and members of their families recently helped to build a horse barn for HOPE Ranch, a Christian outreach facility for teenagers in The Wood-Mizer team, 23 employees and family members from three company locations, used a Wood-Mizer LT40 portable sawmill to saw cedar, white oak and poplar logs into custom lumber for the horse barn. The trees were not commercially viable and were reclaimed from the HOPE Ranch property. Wood-Mizer, a leading manufacturer of portable band sawmills, also contributed money to ensure the new building would be under roof by winter. “We are grateful to Wood-Mizer for their funding and support to help make this project a reality,” said Jeff Bumgardner, the owner of HOPE Ranch.
