Amerimulch, which supplies mulch colorants to the pallet and sawmill industries, has developed a new bulk tank to eliminate totes from the mulch coloring production process.

Handling totes has been a labor-intensive challenge for large production operations for colored mulch. The Amerimulch Heartland Enriched Colorant Bulk Tank resolves the challenge.

The tank holds 5,500 gallons of colorant – more than a truckload. It can be located next to a company’s coloring system. The tank has cam lock hook-ups for easy connecting and disconnecting and a 3 hp motor to fill the tank from a tanker truck.

The Heartland Enriched Colorant Bulk Tank connects directly to a mulch coloring system, providing consistent delivery and ensuring rapid, continuous colorant circulation, which eliminates settling and increases production duration.

The bulk tank can pay for itself in less than two years from increased efficiencies, depending on production volume, according to Amerimulch. Savings are generated from the eliminating of handling totes, mixing, and increased production time and residual loss in totes.
