Suffolk Machinery Introduces New Bandsaw Blade New products in the industry. By Staff Date Posted: 9/1/2009 Suffolk Machinery, known as a quality supplier of Wolf bandsaw blades for the pallet and sawmill industries, is releasing its new 1-3/4”x.052 blade, especially designed to run on large band mills, headrigs and high production resaws. Saws that the new blade fits include the Wood-MizerRLT70/300, Baker 36 Series, LogMaster, Accu-Trac, S&W, and vertical Amish mills. This new blade, the latest in Suffolk’s new line of low carbon, high silicon bandmill and resaw blades, is designed to be used on high production vertical and horizontal bandmills as well as production resaws. This blade features the trademarked Timber Wolf milled tooth design with an extremely deep, round gullet which increases sawdust removal, increases feed rates, reduces resistance in the cut, and reduces horsepower consumption. Combined with an induction hardened tooth and use of superior Swedish steel, this feature permits the end user to achieve excellent run times and exceptional over-all life. The new .052” blade thickness reduces premature blade body and weld failures on mills equipped with wheels that are less than 30” in diameter. This new blade reportedly runs best at 5,700 to 6,300 S.F.P.M. on 24” or larger wheels. Suffolk expects production to be in the 6,000 to 10,000 bf/day range. It is available with .023 set per side. This blade has been tested extensively and has performed well in both hardwoods and softwoods. A special introductory trial promotion is available. For a limited time, buy eight blades and receive two more blades for free. For more information, call 800/234-7297 or visit www.suffolkmachinery.com. |
