New on the Market By Staff Date Posted: 12/1/2009 Bronco 2011 GX Nailing System for Both Block and Stringer Pallets Includes Corner Chamfering
Bronco Pallet Systems has a new 2011 GX nailing system that crosses over between block and stringer pallets. The 2011 GX jig adjusts to handle either blocks or stringers. The machine operator nails using hand tools which can hang from the machine frame. An assembled pallet moves through the 2011 GX corner chamfering machine that can chamfer or round the corners on either a stringer or a block pallet. M.L. Self, president of Bronco Pallet Systems, indicated that he is working with a number of smaller pallet companies that have taken on block pallet customers, often odd sizes and smaller quantities. The 2011 GX was designed for all kinds of small pallet orders, both block pallets and stringer pallets. The 2011 GX is designed to be energy efficient and ergonomically beneficial for building pallets, particularly in short production runs. The 2011 GX is designed for simplicity with fewer controls and fewer complications and problems. For more information about the 2011 GX, call Bronco at 800/458-5462 or 270/674-6091, or visit the web site at www.broncosys.com.
Trace Equipment Introduces Blu-Raccoon Pallet Cleaning Station Trace Equipment, a supplier of pallet machinery, particularly pallet recycling equipment, is the sole supplier of the Blu-Raccoon pallet cleaning station. The Blu-Raccoon is a single-stage, efficient, manual pass-thru pallet washer which is designed as a lower end affordable pallet washer. With a growing emphasis on pallet contamination and concern about the quality and appearance of a pallet, there are people who believe that value added services, such as pallet washing, may be a more significant factor in tomorrow’s pallet industry. The Blu-Raccoon has a cleaning capacity of 60-180 pallets an hour, cleans both wood and plastic pallets up to 48x48 and up to 6” high. It uses an energy saving ambient temperature wash and air dry. The washing station uses 150 gallons of water an hour. Models are available for conventional or eco-friendly cleaning agents. This system follows these steps. The operator manually loads a pallet onto the in-feed conveyor and slides it through the housing access. As pallets cycle through the wash stage, the operator continuously loads pallets onto the conveyor, manually advancing them through the machine. Productivity and cycle speed are determined by the speed of the operator. The wash cycle is complete when a pallet exits the machine and is manually removed from the outfeed conveyor. Baker E-Fuser for Mold Free Pallets There is a bigger focus on mold in the pallet industry today than there was in the past. Mold is not new, but concern over it has grown. Baker’s new E-Fuser is an answer for those whose clients are demanding mold-free pallets. The E-Fuser can be installed in an automated pallet nailing and stacking system, or it can be used in a stand-alone operation with an optional Baker in-feed pallet de-stacker and optional Baker outfeed stacker. Baker’s E-Fuser utilizes five electrostatic spray heads to thoroughly coat each pallet going through it with a chemical that prevents and eliminates mold. Baker indicates that the E-Fuser provides 100% coverage using 70% less chemical product than a typical spray system.
