NWPCA’s Annual Recycling Meeting Scheduled for October 11-13 NWPCA’s Annual Recycling Meeting Scheduled for October 11-13 By Staff Date Posted: 9/1/2012 Ever since the NWPCA absorbed the International Association of Pallet Recyclers almost 20 years ago it has held a pallet recycling meeting just about every fall. The 2012 meeting, scheduled for October 11-13 at the Dallas Marriott City Center in Dallas, Texas, is promoted as the 2012 Recycling and Packaging Conference & Exposition. The conference covers hot topics, such as the latest in OSHA and safety developments, plant efficiency tips, customer service insights, a review on ISPM-15 compliance controversies, saving money on trucks and surviving a DOT inspection. This year’s meeting also will feature two pallet company tours, USA Pallet & Logistics, Inc. and Pallet Logistics of America. Peter Murphy, president of USA Pallet & Logistics, will welcome meeting attendees to his company’s 240,000 sq.ft. facility that is dedicated to manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and distribution. This company specializes in both new and remanufactured pallets, heat treating services, green recycling management and freight services. The company offers no-contract warehousing, reverse logistics, cross docking, container palletization, pick and pulling, and reworking of damaged and shifted loads. Jim Schwab, president of Pallet Logistics of America, has been in business for over 20 years. He has four locations and offers a full line of products, including recycled, remanufactured, new and heat-treated export pallets. Pallet Logistics also offers wood crates and boxes, urban forest mulch and a variety of pallet related services. Pallet Logistics also offers national pallet solutions through PALNET, a network of eight regional pallet companies that operate as a one-source pallet and pallet services provider.
