Auburn Machinery has expanded the capability of its Yield Pro resizing and recovery machine to handle 4-inch thick material. The new Auburn Yield Pro can convert up to 4x6 stock into clean, uniform cants or accurately sized stringers and other components.

The Auburn Yield Pro also can convert waney material, random dead inventory, thick-thin boards, shim and tapered stock, slabs, edgings and other under-utilized material into uniform, saleable products in a single pass. And it converts recycled material, including random size stringers and deck boards with nails, into clean, uniform, new-looking components that may be fed into high-production automated pallet nailing machines or used to make a wide range of other value-added products.

With the ability to handle from 4x6 cants to material as small as 1/8-inch by 1-inch, the Auburn Yield Pro offers opportunities for increasing yield, generating more revenue from existing raw material, expanding value-added capabilities, and making a tangible contribution to sustainable forestry, according to Auburn.
