The L-M Equipment Co. Inc. new Verticut 2000-M is a hydraulically-powered, vertical package cut-off saw with integrated even-ending system and outfeed deck. It enables a single operator to complete a cutting cycle in less than 60 seconds. Standard machines handle 16-foot or 20-foot packages of lumber.

A shorter, stiffer bar is guided vertically through the lumber, allowing it to consistently maintain cutting tolerances of +/- 0.040-inch.

The new L-M Equipment Co. Verticut 2000-M features a specially designed precision chain saw with 3/8-inch kerf for efficient lumber recovery and a good surface finish.

The on-board hydraulic power unit has a 1 hp motor driving a gear pump. The Verticut 2000-M comes complete with hydraulic cylinder and controls for powered saw bar actuation through the cut. After the bundle is on the support frame against the alignment stands, the saw is positioned precisely using a manual V-wheel geared drive for the next hydraulically actuated cut cycle.

Options include laser light saw line guide, electronic length measurement with digital read-out, and powered saw carriage positioning.
