Bandit Adds Thrower for Model 2680 Beast
Horizontal Thrower Is Hydraulic Powered
Date Posted: 9/3/2002
Bandit’s newly introduced Model 2680 Beast Recycler® is now available with a hydraulic powered horizontal thrower. Mounted on the end of a 12-foot discharge conveyor, the thrower allows material to be loaded into end-opening chip vans or to be spread out over a site.
The new thrower should be especially popular with logging operations that utilize logging slash and waste from a flail debarker chipper, according to Bandit. It also will ease the task of capturing logging slash from delimbers and processors that accumulates along logging roads. Since the material is discharged in the same direction in which it flows into the machine, the Beast and the chip van can be positioned on the same road, eliminating the need to create a separate landing.
The Model 2680 Beast Recycler is effective in converting brush, logs, trees, stumps, logging and land-clearing waste, sawmill waste, pallets, and other wood material into useable products, such as compost, mulch, boiler fuel and animal bedding.
The Model 2680 Beast Recycler is equipped with either Caterpillar, Cummins or John Deere engine options ranging from 275-375 hp. It features a 24-inch by 60-inch opening and 12-foot-long infeed and discharge conveyors. A 30-foot-long by 17-foot, 6-inch high discharge conveyor is available that aids in loading open top trailers or creating piles.
